x ginginsii Downderry Velvet

A remarkable, long-flowering bushy lavender. Very long blue-purple flowers from June to September and beyond, if protected. Broad, toothed and velvety foliage. Known only in cultivation as it’s a hybrid of dentata and lanata which doesn’t occur in the wild. This form was found as a seedling on our nursery 10 years ago.  Best planted late April-late June.

Approximate eventual height and spread in flower: 75cm (30in) x 60cm (24in).
