Twickel Purple

At last the real ‘Twickel Purple’ makes a welcome return. This lavender has long purple flowers with an excellent fragrance. Green-grey foliage. A slightly more relaxed habit than the similar ‘Royal Purple’. Many people ask for ‘Twickel Purple’ and all have different ideas of what it’s like. The name derives from Kasteel Twickel in the Netherlands. Dutch selection. UK introduction 1922. ‘Royal Purple’ is a very good substitute.
